Type ver in the command window. This lists all installed toolboxes to ensure the installation was truly "full." The installer will open with two primary options:
MATLAB R2017b relies on specific legacy Java environments. If the installer crashes upon launch, verify that your operating system's environment variables are not forcing a newer version of Java that conflict with the installer script.

The default directory is C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017b . Keep this default path to ensure future patches and scripts find the software easily. Click Next . Select Products (Full Installation):
Minimum 2 GB for MATLAB only; 4–6 GB for a typical installation; up to 22 GB for a full installation of all toolboxes.
Requires an active internet connection and account credentials.
