However, players with region-locked copies, particularly from certain regions in Eastern Europe or Russia, have often been restricted to localized audio only, leading to a popular demand for the original English voiceover. Furthermore, some early Ubisoft versions had a software lock preventing language changes, which was later removed in many digital distributions.

If you own a legitimate copy on Steam or Ubisoft Connect, the language pack is often already available without external downloads.
