Canon may periodically release updates to this firmware; if an update is available, it can be downloaded from this page. Compare the latest version shown on the website with the version currently installed on your device.
Once the device has restarted, it's good practice to verify that the update was applied successfully. You can do this by following the same steps as in the "Check Your Current Firmware Version" section to see if the number has changed.
